![]() Mohawk College believes in the power of partnerships. It is one of the pillars of our new strategic plan. And it is also the reason why we are honoured to have McKeil Marine as a partner for our 2nd Annual President's Partnership Dinner. A community leader celebrating 60 years of doing business in Hamilton. McKeil Marine not only cares about Mohawk College, they care about our community. Like Mohawk, McKeil believes that we have an opportunity to change lives for underserved students in our community. And that we can build a stronger community, one college graduate at a time. The Government of Ontario's commitment to transform student assistance will put a Mohawk College education within reach of more young people in the community. The 2016 Ontario Budget is good news for young people, their families and the communities we serve. It presents Mohawk College with an exciting opportunity to do even more to ensure that a greater number of students can overcome barriers to post-secondary education through our access strategy. And while it certainly provides an unique opportunity to offer more students access, funds raised will help to fill the many gaps that still exist for many underserved students. This dinner will help close the gap for students from priority neighbourhoods. Proceeds from the dinner will offset costs not covered by the province, including books and fees. The bursaries will also benefit students who are juggling school, work and family commitments. We look forward to seeing you on April 27th.
